Introduction

Ensuring fairness and following proper procedures within a disciplinary or a grievance situation is of paramount importance.  The consequences of not doing so could damage the commitment of the employee, damage moral in the depot and be costly for the company. This one day workshop will increase your knowledge and build confidence in handling these situations.  To do this it will focus on increasing your skills in identifying and dealing with issues related to unacceptable work standards, attendance and conduct.

Objectives 
After attending the workshop you will be able to:
• Understand the differences between Misconduct, Gross Misconduct and Capability
• Complete the stages of disciplinary (conduct) and capability process
• Identify the most appropriate action for unacceptable situations
• Investigate a possible disciplinary situation
• Handle Appeal and Grievance procedures
• Meet legal requirements including documentation
• Understand how to deal with difficult situations during the above processes
