Train the trainer - manual handling

First Class - Train the Trainer - Manual Handling

This two day workshop will be full of practical exercises, tips and techniques on designing and delivering short sessions on manual handling awareness and safe practise. The programme will include opportunities to practise in a supportive environment.

Day one will give you information on manual handling techniques and structuring a training session. This will give you the tools with which to write a 20-30 minute manual handling training session. You will start to design this during the day and will be required to complete it over night.

On day two we will develop your confidence in delivering to groups and you will have the opportunity to deliver your session and receive feedback to develop further your delivery skills.

Overall Outcome
By the end of the programme you will be able to design and deliver short manual handling awareness training sessions for small groups in your workplace.

Preparation
Please wear comfortable clothes, it is advised that ladies wear trousers and wear or bring flat shoes for the practical work.
